It's a story about people living on an island in the South Pacific, and the magic they can use to make money.<br /><br />I thought it was interesting to read about this place but I didn't like the main character, he is lazy and selfish. Infact, when he mets a young and nice woman, Mrs Grahm, He loves Her immediately. Gilbert doesn't understand anything because He wants this fantastic dream, this beautiful woman, but He changes all His care when he knows that She is married! He needs Her love but, after a lot of time, He knows that She got away by Her husband, a very bad husband. This old and rich man died during this small time so the story changed..! Now Mrs Grahm is single and She can marry Mr Gilbert.
